Family vacation in Mallorca

The island of dreams or also the 17th state of Germany is called Mallorca. Wouldn't you like to spend a wonderful family vacation here? Then you should already know your way around the island and know where great sights for young and old are waiting for you, which are worth a family visit.

In all four directions the island has its special features. To the north in the Tramontana Mountains, there are cliffs for family hikes, extravagant climbing opportunities and even a secluded beach, low down, before the path leads back up high, to the lighthouse at Cap Formentor.

At Cala Mura, a stunning beach deep below the cliffs, you can take a dip. Continue to the end of the island for coffee and cake. The lighthouse is unfortunately not accessible, but still you can enjoy with your family a gigantic view deep down to the Mediterranean Sea. Cala Major and Cala Ratjada, two well-known seaside resorts with large hotels, are also located in the northeast of the Spanish island.

The south of Mallorca

In contrast to the north, there are less steep cliffs in the south, but an aquarium with numerous species of fish from the salt water for the kids. This is located east of Palma. When traveling with children, rainy days must be bridged. The aquarium is exactly the right destination for such days.

Not only in the beautiful store you can fulfill every wish of their children. Colorful cuddly toys, squeaky toys, but also textbooks about oceans and many other things are available here. In the aquarium itself, in addition to fish, there are also rays, crabs, seals and starfish. Family adventure on Mallorca

In the east of the island, near Portocristo, there is a Serengeti Park. You can drive through the park with your own car. Elephants, giraffes, antelopes, as well as numerous other animals native to the African continent live here.

The park is open all year round, but in winter the bus tours do not take place too often. So if you are going on a family vacation to the island in November, December or January, you should already use your own car for the round trip.

On a parent-child vacation you can explore the caves of the island. They are located on the east coast of Mallorca. The caves of Arta are located high above the sea, are smaller than the famous Dragon Caves at Portocristo, but are in no way inferior to them.

A Majorca vacation with children should include at least one cave. The Dragon Caves have a large souvenir store at the exit. In addition to T-shirts, you can also buy stuffed animals or key chains here, among other things. On the tour, you will learn a lot about the underground caves and their history from early times until today.

This includes the different layers of rock under the earth, as well as the stalagmites and stalactites that form from the top and bottom of the rocks. Animal and bathing world in Mallorca

Since most children love animals, it is a must to go with the family to the Natura Parc zoo, located near Santa Eugenia. It is the only zoo on the island and houses a lot of rare animal species.
